The FA Cup Final is a big deal. The iconic Manchester Derby is a massive event too. But a Manchester Derby happening for the FA Cup Final? Now that is as rare as hen’s teeth. We decided to do something we’ve never done before for this incredible face-off.
The first thing we did was take a stance: Superkicks is Red. Then, we hit up our good friends over at Brewdog Khar and partnered with them to create The Red Zone; a space for all Manchester United fans to get together and watch the Derby unfold. We tend to take things a step further and this event was no different. The walls within the Red Zone were done up in bespoke graphics created by the team themed around the Red Devils and inspired by vintage movie posters and their typefaces.
The night also consisted of our Manchester United SuperFan Quiz; a task for only the most hardcore United fans where the ultimate Red Devil got their hands on the latest collaboration between MUFC and adidas Originals in the form of the archive-inspired retro jersey. We displayed our curation of the entire collaboration at the event along with UK-based streetwear brand Represent’s new SS23 collection, and bespoke stickers we created for people to remember the event by.
